It is a two-hour evening catamaran cruise timed to the sunset, run by Líneas Romero out of Puerto del Carmen, with a dolphin search folded into the outbound leg. The catamaran is wide, stable and built for lounging rather than speed — you can stretch out on the trampoline nets slung above the water at the bow, or stay in the shaded seating aft. That stability matters: the Atlantic off Lanzarote's south coast is rarely glassy, and a twin hull handles swell far better than the RIBs and fast boats other operators use.

The crew scan for bottlenose and Atlantic spotted dolphins as the boat runs along the coast. If a pod is found the skipper approaches slowly and then cuts power — Canary Islands law requires licensed boats to hold 60 metres off and to stop their propellers within 100 metres, so the animals come to you or they don't. Sightings are not guaranteed and the operator says so plainly: dolphins are wild, and weather, sea state and their own behaviour decide the afternoon.
